A detailed assessment of female hormonal health
The Female Hormone Screen Gold provides a targeted assessment of several hormones involved in the menstrual cycle, ovarian function and female hormonal health.
The panel measures FSH, LH and oestradiol, alongside testosterone, sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and FAI providing more information than a single hormone measurement alone.
Depending on your symptoms and circumstances, these markers may be useful when investigating changes in menstrual cycles, symptoms associated with perimenopause or menopause, fertility concerns or other hormonal symptoms.

What does this test look at?
FSH
Follicle stimulating hormone is involved in ovarian function and the development of ovarian follicles.
LH
Luteinising hormone plays an important role in ovulation and normal ovarian hormone production.
Oestradiol
Oestradiol is the main form of oestrogen during the reproductive years and is involved in the menstrual cycle and reproductive health.
Testosterone
Testosterone is present in women in smaller amounts and contributes to libido, muscle function and overall hormonal balance.
SHBG
Sex hormone-binding globulin binds sex hormones in the blood and helps provide context when interpreting testosterone levels.
Free Androgen Index
The Free Androgen Index is a calculated value that estimates how much testosterone is biologically available by comparing total testosterone with SHBG
